The 49th Spirit of the MACYS Awards were held today at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts to recognize and reward achievement and excellence in high school musical theatre.
The Best Actress Award was presented to Elyse Bell, Yorba Linda High School for her performance as Jo in Little Women and the Best Actor Award to Michael Iskander of Marina High School for his performance as Usnavi in In the Heights.
